large pixels on iSRD with colour slides

I am running Silverfast 6.5.5r2 on Windows Vista and using a Plustek 7500i scanner. I am getting the same sort of problem as newton when i run iSRD on Kodachrome colour slides with "big pixels" being created and the dust and scratches not being successfully removed. Any ideas? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear richpig,

scanning Kodachromes can be problematic, when iSRD in some instances might be irritated by the dyes present in the film.
We hope to improve this behaviour in the near future ...
