Infrared Cleaning on in HDR modes

Postby glucolisis » Mon Feb 09, 2015 8:20 pm

Hello everyone!

I have the Plustek Opticfilm 7600i scanner and for all my negative scanning needs I use the any of the HDR modes (48 bit, 64 bit, etc) since I use the ColorPerfect plug-in in photoshop to later process the image. My issue is with dust, for some reason when I use the 64bit HDRi mode (which I would think should remove the dust and scratches) doesn't work and my negatives are left with all the dust.

The infrared cleaning only works when I use the "48 to 24 bit" however, the files produced by doing this are not adequate for my workflow using the Colorperfect plug-in.

Is there a way to end up with a "cleaned" 48 or 64 bit image?

Thank you all so much!

Dear customer,

The 48/64 bit HDR(i) formats are archive file formats.
These are saved unchanged for later processing in SilverFast HDR (Studio).
Any image altering functions (including iSRD) are disabled for this mode.

In case you have Ai Studio you can use the standard 48 bit output and scan the images with gamma 1.0 and no further adjustments.
Otherwise you will have to use 48-> 24 bit.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
