Claibration for Neg use

Hi there,

I have an opticFilm 7200, with SE, I am on windows XP and I am about to scan a large number of negs, Do I need to calibrate the scanner? I thought I read somewhere on the site that it wasn't required for neg scanning?

Or should I upgrade the software to the AI and use a target? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Sean,

calibration is not required for scanning negtives, as the NegaFix' film profiles already contain the scanner characteristic.
