I always get very bad results scanning slides with my Plustek Opticfilm 8100: they are underexposed, very shrouded, the colours are innatural and there is a lot of digital noise (above all in red areas).
I found in other threads of this forum that the issue could be solved by updating the drivers.
I would like to have from the Admin a comprehensive guide to how to update the driver for my scanner: how to download it, how to install it and - above all! - how to disinstall the previous version, being sure that every old file has been wiped away from my computer.
My OS is Windows 7 32 bit.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Bad results scanning slides
Dear customer,
On Windows systems you simply download the latest driver installation file from the Plustek website.
It will first uninstall the old driver and then in a second run install the new one.
Make sure your scanner is not switched on, so the driver can be removed.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
