Hello all,
Just got the Plustek OpticFilm 7300 scanner with bundled SilverFastSEPlus. All works great, except, how do I get the 16 bit color scanning? In the Frame - Scan Type section, the option for 48 Bit color is grayed out, unavailable. In the manual it says you can get the 16 bit by slecting it in the QuickScan mode. I did that and the 16 bit works okay there, but there are very limited controls. I'm using Windows XP Home. SilverFastSEPlus, version 6.6.0r1 and mainly need it for scanning 35 mm transparencies. Can anyone help, or can you direct me to a post on this? I searched but didn't see one. Thanks.

Re: 16 bit color scanning SE Plus
Hello Molly,
SE versions allow to scan in 48 Bit HDR mode (i.e. with no Gradation, ColorCorrection etc. applied), only.
If you would like to scan corrected 48 Bit data, you need an Ai version.
Best regards,
Martin

Thanks for the reply.
I'll have to check if the AI version works with my Optic Film 7300 scanner.
