Noise with PIE PrimFilm 1800u

Postby Hagimage » Tue Oct 02, 2007 6:43 pm

OS: Microsoft XP, Media Center Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2

Problem: 4 out of 135 scans had a sharp noise in prsecan that resulted in a segment of off-colour scan image.

Solution: Make sure the 35mm slide is inserted to limit. Meticulously use ScanPilot. Scanner working components lubricated per PIE instructions.

When the ScanPilot is carefully used by starting with a click on the green triangle the system works perfectly, but the end is unusual. When the final scan is finished, the ScanPilot pointer (aeroplane) moves to the top. When the Windows "Picture and Fax Viewer" is closed, the pointer returns to the bottom of the ScanPilot. On clicking the green triangle, ths repeates the final save process which on cancel the pointer returns to the top of the ScanPilot. Is this normal?
Thank you.

Dear Hagimage

thank you for sharing your insight with us!
Concerning the behaviour of the ScanPilot it looks like it stopped (for whatever reason), but still knew from where to restart.

Best regards
