Can I still use my PIE 7250u on win 10?

Hi there,

I purchased a license for Silver Fast a few years ago after picking up a Primefilm PF 7250U film scanner from Costco. Used it with 6.6.1X on win7 and it worked fine.

Fast forward to today. Running Win 10 X64 and still have the old PF 7250U in good working order. I input my serial # on the site and the latest ver. available is 6.6.2R5, so I dl'ed and installed it.

I also dl'ed and installed drivers for the 7250U as well from scanace. The scanner (though listed as 'discontinued' is still recognized in Win10 and Cyberview X recognizes and works with the scanner.

When I try to start SF however it gives the message 'There was no scanner found! Check that your scanner is properly connected.... blah blah blah" It asks me to check SF_LogFile.txt, but don't see anything helpful there.

Any suggestions to get this working in Win 10? Thanks for the help,

Dear Ian,

The scanner is still supported.
However SilverFast 6 unfortunately is too old for Windows 10.
This operating system would require the latest SilverFast 8.
