Batch sann problems on 3600 pro with AI

I have been having significant problems with doing batch scanns on my 3600 pro with version 6 AI. Batch scanning was working fine when I have version 5 installed but since installing version 6 I have been problems. With the initial release the problems were intermittent but with r28 and r36 AI will blow up whenever I try doing a batch scann. With r28 it will blow up on the 3rd or 4th frame. With r36 it will consistantly blow up on the first frrame of the batch scann. At a loss as to how to correct this. Anyone have any ideas?

What is meant by blow-up? application hanger or appl. crash or system break-down?
