The PhotoCD plugin is designed for the use with images from the PhotoCD and is optimized for that type of images. It can?t read normal TIFF files.
There are four SilverFast modules that can read files:
1. PhotoCD: reads PhotoCD files
2. DC: reads 8-bit TIFF, JPEG, PSD
3. HDR: reads 8-bit and 16-bit TIFF, JPEG and PSD
4. DC-PRO: reads 8-bit and 16-bit TIFF, JPEG, PSD and files from professional cameras like Nikon D1 (NEF), Canon (CRW) and Kodak (DCSPro3SLR, DCSProBack, DCS)
If you need to read TIFF files, you will need to use either DC or HDR. DC is also available as SE (light) version with limited functionality.
