Scanwit and trial version not happening

Hi folks

I am exploring the trial version of Silverfast SFE-5.5.2D04(Acer)on win 98se...but I cant get it to scan.
My first efforts are generated though the Scan Pilot process and all is well till I try the SCAN button...no scan.
I dont see anything indicating Scanwit is present in the control panel, but maybe thats not valid.

Any suggestions please. I have asked tech support as well.

Demo versions are time limited and possibly your version has expired. I know that we have old demos on the WEB, but beside the SCAN button they are working. We will update all demos soon.
