I'm stuck. I have just obtained a new/used scanner, a Plusteck OpticFilm 7200i, and this comes bundled with V 6.5.
My desktop is a Mac, running OSX 10.9.5.
I have found that the V6.5 software has already been registered, but not by me, as you would expect.
How can I make this happen? I need the updated version of SilverFast to run with the Mac, but am now wondering if the 7200i is also not compatible with Mavericks either.
About 12 months ago I had a similar setup, sold it, and at that stage went through the update process, from Ver 6 to Ver 8. I used it (successfully) a few times, but passed it onto the next owner. I don't have the dmg file on my desktop now either.
Any help appreciated, I'd definitely like to get up and scanning with what I have, rather than buy into different software, or a different scanner.

Re: OF7200i & Mavericks
Dear Gary,
The Plustek OF 7200i unfortunately is not supported at all under OS X.
Plustek does not provide OS X drivers for this device.
We also do offer SilverFast 8 for this scanner but can only provide it for Windows systems due to the lack of a driver.
If you purchased the scanner used it is likly the previous owner is still registered.
In such a case please contact our support, supplying the previous owners name/e-mail.
Or you can ask the previous owner to contact us to remove his registration.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: OF7200i & Mavericks
Thank you Arne.
In the end, the simplest option was to start again with a scanner, not the 7200i.
Thank you for all your help, here and in the background.
