More intuitive way to open installed docs?

Postby Dick W » Mon Apr 04, 2011 4:05 pm

Maybe this is just a Mac-newb question, but is there some more intuitive way to open the documents the LaserSoft installers install than just opening a Finder window and navigating down the /Library folders till you find what you are looking for? I get in, say, SilverFast and want to understand what a button does and the only contextually sensitve help seems to be via the QT icon, if one is present.

There are certain dialogues which have a button with a question mark to open the respective document like the one shown in the following pic:

Bear in mind that the button is not present in all dialogues however the one shown above can be used to open the full user manual and check the functionality of all tools.

Appart from that, hovering the mouse on top of every button without clicking shows an alternate text with gives you a hint of what the tool is.
You might look for its operation in the instructions manual.
