file name is invalid

Postby ipm » Thu Feb 12, 2015 11:52 am

Hi there

My software was working fine the last time I used it. I have upgraded to the latest version and it wont scan now, I just get a warning sign saying Filename is invalid, no matter what I use as a file name, does anyone one know how to get past this, it's driving me nuts and waisting a lot of time.

Dear customer,

Please also check the path.
Sometimes an error in the path is contributed to the file name.

Otherwise try to reset SilverFast through the welcome screen's service dialog.
Maybe the settings file got damaged.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Hi Arne

Thank you for your reply, I went round in circles for a while but then I realised that the hard drive was full and that was the problem.

all the best
Ian

Dear Ian,

Yes, that explains the behavior.
SilverFast tries to test-write the file names.
If that is not possible the error comes up too.
I didn't think about that.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
