cannot install SE on El Capitan 10.11.6.

Hi

Ive just purchased an Epson V700 with Silverfast SE included.

Im running El Capitan 10.11.6.

I can not install Silverfish as it says

The installer could not find the software.
The installer could not find the software because there was no software found to install.

The file I'm trying to install is SFen-6.6.2r5(Epson-SE).mpkg

Epson scan is working but i want to use Silverfast as I've read its better.

Ive tried deleting the above file and downloading it again from the website.
turning mac on and off.

what can i do?

Dear customer,

SilverFast 6.6 is outdated and not compatible with OS X 10.11.
For this operating system you require an upgrade to SilverFast 8.
You can obtain this through our online store where you can enter your existing serial for a discount.
