UMAX PowerLook 1100

I am looking for a driver for our Umax PowerLook 1100 Scanner (firewire), for MAC OSX Panther [10.3.5, 10.3.7, G4; and/or 10.3.8 G5]!?!?!?

Why am I being directed to SilverFast?
The Umax site says there is a BETA version available :roll: did you 2 merge, or what is going on?

as can be seen from our supported scanners list, the Powerlook 1100 is supported by SilverFast under OS X 10.3 (aka "Panther"):

There has been no "merger" between us and Umax. SilverFast is a product line from LaserSoft Imaging, who have long time been producing high profile software for scanners and digital cameras.

When employing your scanner under Panther, be aware of a potential problem, where a solution to it is described in this very forum:

This way you can easily assure yourself that your personal systems configuration does work before buying anything.
Thus you are able to explore all the features of SilverFast and check if it suits your needs.
