Panther with Umax Astra 2100U scanner

I have looked all over, received a message from the support team of
Umax Astra 2100U and found this forum.
I have a "Panther" I need to know what software will work with my
Umax Astra 2100U scanner. Umax sent me here. I can't seem to find
anything on Silverfast site. I need help. Umax suggested I do a "go around"
however I don't want to do all of that to scan a picture. Aside from getting
a "digital" camera, what are my options? Help

Dear Bettie

pls excuse if this answer seems a bit vague, but I can't get an UMAX 2100U for testing purposes at the moment. Still, I wouldn't want to keep you waiting further for an answer if SilverFast is compatible with your scanner.

So: My suggestion is, you want to try for yourself. Please download the SilverFast demo version for the Astra 2200. This way you will learn quicker than I if this works or not.

Thank you for your reply. If you will see the next question under
this one you will see that the question was answered there. I also received a
reply from Belkin that there hub works with the Panther. So I am set (I hope) I received a answer from Umax stating that my scanner does NOT
work with the panther and they are not going to "upgrade" any time soon
on the model I have.
