Panther + Agfa Arcus 1200

Hello,

has anyone got any experience with Siverfast, Panther (v 10.6) and an Agfa Arcus 1200?
I have not had to use my scanner for a long while, and in that time Agfa have stopped support for this scanner (it went as far as OS 10.2). Hence I am looking into getting new scanner software. Silverfast seems to be about the only option. However, with the changes to SCSI handling in Panther, and having read through these pages, it would seem there are a lot of problems.

As far as I remember it is an Adaptec SCSI card in my G4 (it was factory installed by Apple at time of build).

Please, let me know your experiences before I go and buy the software!

Dear Charly,

please give the demo a chance and look at the adaptec website for the latest drivers.

Adaptec did a workaround for OSX on the driver issues at least.
