Panther?

Panther problem with Silverfast SE
I have been running SE with an Adaptec SCSI card and HP ScanJet 4c for about 4 weeks with OS X 10.2.6 - 10.2.8.
Everything was working well in Photoshop and SE standalone.
I upgraded to Panther last night and did the following:
1. Installed 10.3 fresh, archiving previous System.
2. Reinstalled Adaptec SCSI drivers.
3. Verify in System Profiler that scanner is found at ID 6.
4. Reinstall SE.
No good, SE does one of two things:
1. "scanner not found!"
2. hangs on startup with the spinning beachball
If I use SE from Photoshop File->Import, Photoshop crashes.
This is all new behaviour since installing Panther. I recommend you wait until Lasersoft solves the problem; I have submitted a support request.

Re: Panther problem with Silverfast SE
I had the exact same experience as alpha-60. I can use Image Capture, but I really don't want to.

It is not supported....
I was just told that Panther does NOT WORK with ver 6 AI on my 2650 Heidelberg after 3 days of failed attempts and a lot of money changing cards. Why can't you guys just say "It does not work" rather than have all of us go crazy... My last phone reply was " we can refund your money"..
That does NOT help after being led around for 3 days. Not good busisness guys....

Re: PANTHER
Unfortunately, this is not working here. I've been banging my head against trying to get an Epson 3200 Photo scanner to work in Panther on a dual G4 ALL DAY.
Any other ideas (before I just shoot my computer, scanner, and myself?)

Have you tried this:
Navigate to Library/Image Capture/Devices, then remove the Epson Scanner plugin.
Kind regards.
