NO SCANNER FOUND - check delay not long enough

Postby BEIGE » Thu Jan 22, 2004 8:01 pm

well i managed to get my touchy Umax Powerlook 2100XL/Belkin SCSI to firewire adapter/SF6/Panther/dual G5 setup working fine (SCSI ID 2 IS YOUR FRIEND) but one thing that is still a problem is that i can't use batch mode. when SF6 checks for the scanner to do the second scan, it says that the scanner can't be found. "it's sitting right there," i yell but nothing works. the software loads again fine shortly after the optics return to the start zone. i suppose this will have to be solved with code and not words. please fix this. thanks.

Dear Beige.

Are you describing the regular Batchmode or scanning out of the Jobmanager. Does this happen after ...
- setting the frames
- opening the Jobmanager
- adding the selections to the Jobmanager
- editing the frames
- starting the Job ??

Please also provide the SF_logfile to support@silverfast.com.

Thanks in advance.

it works with the job manager. still i prefer to use the batch mode because i do tweaks in photoshop first and rarely want my scans in the same directory. but i'll use it in the meantime. thanks.
