Software Uninstall-OS 10.2

I installed your demo software in OS 10.2.2 for my Nikon 8000. Until the positioning problem is fixed (see thread in Nikon forum), I would like to remove the software. There does not seem to be an uninstall program. Could you please tell me the files (and locations) which I must remove.

Currently our software doesn't have an uninstaller, but the software can be manually removed by deleting files from these locations:

Hard Drive -> Applications -> SilverFast Application (remove this folder)

Hard Drive->(path to Photoshop)->Plugins->Import-Export->SilverFast(Nikon) (remove this folder)

That's it! The rest of the installed softare are Nikon extensions, which are required by Nikon scan also. These shouldn't be removed, but are here:

Hard Drive->Library->Application Support->Nikon

the installer also installs a folder called 'Nikon MAID' in the user's Home library directory at:

~\Library\Preferences\Nikon MAID


this folder is not necessary to use SilverFast Ai NikonM but it is installed anyway. very curious

Actually the Nikon MAID prefs files aren't installed by SilverFast. They are created by the Nikon MAID libraries the first time SilverFast is run.

They are never addressed by SilverFast. Since these libraries can be used by Nikon Scan, we don't remove the prefs when you uninstall SilverFast.
