Photoshop 7 with Invisible Silverfast plugin.

How do I get rid of Silverfast 6 from my Photoshop 7 import/export?
With Photoshop 6 and Silverfast through OS9 in the past you could go into photoshops Import/Export window and drag out the Silverfast folder before re-installing but now even when using Sherlock I can not locate the plugin for Silverfast, it's as if it is an invisable file.

Which SilverFast version 6 ( release ) do you use or does it is a version 5 and do you use Mac 9.2 or Mac OSX?
Photoshop 7 will not support SilverFast version 5 correct. Here the Plug-in will be invisable in the Import / Export folder, but visable if you start Photoshop 7 and import the SilverFast plug-in. It looks like the plug-in will be " insert " in the twain plug-in of Photoshop 7. So there will be only one solution to get rid of it -you have to remove photoshop 7 and install it again. Perhaps you make a copy of the twain plug-in in the Import / Export folder before you install anything and keep it save for the next time. Than you only have to change the Photoshop twain plug-in.

Sorry Christoph, but I'm not sure if I understand what exactly to do here. I understand that I'll need to re-install Photoshop 7 - could you explain what to do next?

(I'm having the same problem that Pete mentioned - the plug-in does not appear under File/Import in Photoshop 7. I'm using Silverfast SE 5.5 with OS X.2.1 and Epson Perfection 1240U scanner via USB. It works fine with Photoshop 6 in Classic environment. I did install the new Epson_bundles files in Application Suppoort as mentioned elsewhere. I also tried with standalone SF_APP but it could not find the plug-in....)

Dear Roose -

SilverFast 5.5:
- will not work under Mac OS 10...
- with Mac OS 9 and Photoshop 7 the plug-in will be invisable in the Import/Export folder, but visable at the import menue.

SilverFast 6:
- will work under Mac OS classic and OS 10...
- the plug-in will be visable at all Photoshop versions ( 4-5-6-7-)
