End Of File Error On Larger Scans.

Postby yammaster » Sat Jun 21, 2003 3:13 am

Am running latest version of Jaguar on an IMac 1gig and using a new Epson Perfection 3200 Photo scanner. If I try to scan a negative approaching 1000 dpi, I get an end of file error, and the results are garbled. If I back the dpi down below 1000 dpi, it works fine. File size at 1000 is about 5 megs. Since the slider goes up to 6400 dpi, why can't I scan at a higher dpi. Is it a scanner related issue on flatbeds because it is only scanning a relatively small portion of the flatbed, or what? On my old Olympus slide scanner, I could create a 31 meg file at max resolution...

Did you have the current release, or have you just installed from CD ? (What is 6.0.1r16 in most cases). If you so, please download and install the current version (6.02r31 or above). Be aware of bundled SE, if you have the SE version.

kind regards
