Has anyone used this with the 4000?? We have one which can take up to a 36 picture film roll. However there are two main problems.. there is nothing to catch the film as it cames out the front of the scanner, one would expect some kind of spool at the front as well as the back.
Also we find that the neg can get scratched by the rollers. Even though we have cleaned the machine thoroughly.
Anyone have any solutions for any of these??

Together with the bulk roll feeder comes an adaptor that has to be pushed into the front of the scanner. The adaptor looks similar to the filmstrip adaptor, but it is different.

I know youre here mainly to give advice on the software but we are really stuck with this scanner and nikon have been less than helpful!

The front adaptor doesn?t hold the film. It is needed for transporting the film, because the roll at the back of the scanner has no motor. The film will be hanging out at the front and I know it can be twisted.

Did you contact Nikon ?

Thats what I thought. Seems like a very poor piece of design to me. Nikon seem singularly unhelpful in supporting their equipment.
