special SilverFast version for the SF-200?

Postby bernd k. » Mon Jun 09, 2003 11:35 pm

Hi,

We own an LS-4000 and ordered a SF-200 but somehow it seems to be impossible to get one delivered at the moment in Germany (at least our order gets delayed and delayed and ...). Anyway, now I've been offered a used SF-200 (which was used together with an LS-2000) and he's selling the SF-200 together with a (as he claims) special SilverFast 4 version that will support the feeder - other SilverFast versions won't work, he says. Is that right or will our LS-4000 work together with the SF-200 using the SilverFast 6.0.2r17 we are using at the moment running OS X 10.2.6?

Thanks,
Bernd

Sorry who are you refering to with "he"? is it someone from our sales department?
I hope not, as you should NOT use an (old) SilverFast version 4 on a Nikon LS4000 scanner. THIS WILL NOT WORK!

You have all you need to use the sf-200 holder with SilverFast. But I recommend that you update your SilverFast version 6 to the latest available release version.
