Hello all,
I have Silverfast Ai for my aging-but-still-great Epson Perfection 4870, and I've been mulling over getting a crossgrade to drive my Nikon LS-5000 and -9000. Now, I'm aware that I will need to buy a separate license from the Epson in order to run the Nikon, but would I need to buy a license for both the 5000 and the 9000? I ask because the demo of Ai Studio that I downloaded for Nikon registered both scanners on start-up, and it would be fantastic (and a lot cheaper) if the app would drive both (depending on which one I had powered up at the time).
Thanks and best regards,
Jeff

Re: Silverfast for multiple Nikon scanners
Dear Jeff,
In this case you have to buy to different licenses for your scanner models. The SilverFast license works in a similar way as an operating system license, one license for one computer, same here, one license for one scanner. The good thing is that you do not have to pay full price for both licenses, I believe you can use the first license you purchase (lets say for Nikon 9000) to obtain a major discount for the second license.
All details and prices with discount can be seen on our online store at: http://www.silverfast.com/show/store/en.html
Cheers
