I have a Nikon 4000 ED filmscanner until now run by Silverfast Studio 6. In the next future, I intend to scan my slide archive (mostly Kodakchrome) using the SF 200 and think of upgrading the Software either to the new Studio AI 6 Multiexposure version or to the Archive suite. Since I'm using Win XP, the HDRi and iSRD features cannot be used. So the question is, what's the advantage of getting the archive suite ? Marketing aside - is it better to upgrade just to the latest Ai Studio version in this case because the archive suite is pretty useless for me ? Or, can the "common" HDR feature be used ? Sorry if this is a basic question but I could not find a solution on the website.
Thank you,
Wolfgang

Dear Wolfgang,
I think the Archive Suite is still very usefull for you. You can still use the 48Bit HDR mode, so you could basically use all the features apart form iSRD and HDRi.
Form the workflow point of you it should be a greate improvement for you, but feel free to try it with our demo versions of SilverFast Ai Studio and HDR Studio. http://www.silverfast.com/show/silverfa ... te/en.html

So far, I can only see the Studio AI and HDR version for demo purposes - but not the Archive suite. Therefore, it's the question if the Studio AI and HDR part can also be used independently within the Archive suite if you optionally don't want to do the automatic workflow provided by the Archive Suite. Thank you

Dear Wolfgang,
the archive suite is a package which contains SilverFast Ai Studio and SilverFast HDR Studio which are two independent applications. Of course you can use them independently.
Cheers
