SFfr-6.6.0r1, Batch don't work

Batch don't work. Whatever the number of pictures choosen, Silverfast only treats 1 each time.

Another curiosity : it seems impossible to scan with 300 DPI. Wathever the Q factor is, 1 or 1,5, 300 is automatically replaced by 330 DPI.

One thing present in Nikonscan I'd like to see in Silverfast is a prescan of all the pictures than after individual corrections, the possibility to launch a batch. If Nikonscan does, why not Silverfast.

Second wish, a way to turn 1 picture without acting on the others and than to bacth without a landscape picture turning in portrait and the contrary. If Nikonscan does, why not Silverfast.

i just corrected the Batch-scan Bug, this will be tested & verified and then there will be a Web-update !
Until then you should use the standalone to batch-scan to files !

I will look into that 330 dpi thing, may i ask which Scanner you use, is it a LS-8000 or LS-9000 ?

Simply because Nikon Scanners make that especially hard to do and only Nikon knows exactly how :-)
As we left the "help" of the Nikon Drivers we have to find out all by ourselves now but in turn we can work more stable on Leopard & intel.
I got this on my list and will try to improve things here !!!!

This works with the Jobmanager, You probably did not license the Jobmanager, did you ?!

I'd like to chime in here: the inability to do a prescan of an entire batch of slides makes scanning in Silverfast a real chore for 35mm. I hope this is addressed.

thank you for you interest in SilverFast, Nils Heidorn is the responsible developer for this SilverFast Version, please have a look at his last post, he explained it there.
In the end it is just a little change in the workflow for gaining Leopard and Intel Mac support 2 things that Nikon Scan and the Nikon driver lag.

Thanks for the response. However, I think that Silverfast ought to be able to automate this process a little bit without needing to go too deeply into the Nikon driver.

Here's how I find myself using the software with the LS9000: I create a settings preference for a particular roll of film, go into Batch mode, click the icon to call up the thumbnail preview screen, select the frames I'd like to scan, hit ok and then set the preference from step one to the entire batch.

So far so good. What becomes a huge pain is if I want to edit each frame separately, and this is where Silverfast bogs down. I need to create each preview one by one. It would be so much easier if I could instead batch process all the previews at once, move away from Silverfast while it does its thing, and then go through each frame without delay in rendering the preview.

Seems like a small adjustment to me but would save the user a lot of time and redundancy.

actually this would be a huge adjustment although it might seems small to you

I will put this in an internal feature request list.
If or when those features are implemented is obviously depending on many things like amount of work, forecasted revenue and number of users that are influenced by that specific feature.

From my perspective adding the HDR Studio to your workflow would be a much better match to your requirements and definitly non-destructive, in comparison to doing all of that in Ai.

Yes the batch scan option was fixed long ago.

This is just because you have not selected the pictures you want to batch scan in the overview window. This has to be done first then press the batch scan button.
