Hello,
I have 3 questions regarding batch scan in Ai Studio 8 with a Nikon 9000ED.
1. For my understanding of batch scan. When I scan a filmstrip with 3 negatives in a Nikon 120/220 film holder, I see that 3 as separate negatives in the overview. If I will scan that 3 negatives in one "session" I have to use a adf-scan and not a batch scan. A batch scan is only possible within one "big" scan-area, that may contain more than one negatives. Within that area I can define a frame for each negative or a section of a negative. That frames can share common parameters or have individual ones.
Is that right? Or can you explain it please?
2. Are there any examples of batch-scan-workflows in Silverfast 8 using a Nikon 9000ED and its filmholders to scan more than one negative with individual frame sizes and parameters?
3. Would such a batch scan be possible with 9000 ED and its filmholders, if Silverfast 8 would offer a "scan whole area" entry within the transparancy area list of each valid filmstripholder type ( as example see small picture for a Nikon filmholder FH-869S 120/220)?
Best regards
Werner

Re: Nikon 9000ED and batch scanning
Dear Werner,
First of all the 6x9 is the "full scan area".
The scanner can not scan larger areas without moving the film tray.
Otherwise you are right about ADF and batch scanning.
We are currently preparing the Jobmanager for use with the overview to allow use of individual settings for frames.
This will become available in a future update.
kind regards,
Arne ketelhohn.
