Job manager thumbnails
I had to reinstall Ai Studio 6.4.4r3b and coincident with the reinstallation the thumbnails in Job Manager have begun to misbehave. When I add an image to the Job Manager everything is fine, but once I select an image for scanning it goes black. Fortunately, the scans themselves are fine.

looks like this is indeed a problem occuring from 6.4.4r3 onwards and even in the latest 6.4.4r6. To help us to nail down the issue, please don't hesitate to contact our support staff for an analysis of the issue:

You might try removing the Prefs files. You can find instructions for doing this by following the "Functionality issues" link at the top of the page. Then click on the "SilverFast doesn't do what I want" link on the resulting page.

This is a follow up: deleting the Prefs files did not correct the blackened thumbnails.
Thanks, RAG. Deleting the Prefs files seems to be a SilverFast general remedy. I'll give it a try.
