IT8 calibration

Just bought 6.5 AI Studio with IT8 silverfast and ive tryed using the IT8 calibration but it will not work, i get to the part were it says callibration successful with 2 pop up windows when i click ok it will do a preview scan and go back to Silverfast dialogue window . Im using the Twain model with
Elements ,with a Nikon V.This program will not let me save the profile.
No "Save" window ever pops up..

i believe there is a check box in options, maybe under CMS, to turn off the auto save of profiles to the default location for the OS.

THere was a recent reply to this on the forums, just a search should find it.

This behaviour is actually intended in a "fully automatic IT8 calibration" process. The ICC profile will be saved automatically in the correct folder, thus no "Save" window.

I also was confused by this. If one reads the documentation one expects to be ased to name and save the new profile... but the program has been changed so that this is all automatic.

Yes thanks for the replies, i was able to make a profile and save it
by not using the Twain version.
I opened up SF launcher and started Sf and checked save profile box in options and it worked.
But unfortunately i have other problems now on getting the right setting in CMS-Dialog box.
Ill keep trying
