Almost three years ago my LS4000 broke and I didn't return to scanning until purchasing a new LS5000 this week. Will my Silverfast software -- purchased for my LS4000 work with the LS5000? Alternatively, if I download updated Silverfast software under my original purchase, will this work with the LS5000?
Thanks,
Tom

Dear TomF
thank you for your interest in LaserSoft Imaging's software products.
SilverFast is developed specifically for each command set and chipset of a given scanner model range in order to achieve our goal: optimal scanning results.
Thus you cannot use a SilverFast Version developed for one scanner for a different one, even if the scanners in question come from the same manufacturer.
However, as an established customer with SilverFast you might be eligiblefor a discount price.
Please contact our <a href="https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html?topic=SalesQuestion">sales</a> or further information.
Thanks in advance for your co-operation.
