ICE Default and Preview Scans

Hi,

I have two questions about Silverfast AI Studio and my Coolscan 9000.

1. Is it possible to set Digital ICE to always default to be ON?

2. I don't understand why Silverfast AI preview scans so often. For example, if I preview scan frame 1, then preview scan frame 2, then select frame 1 again I would not expect it to preview scan again. But it does.

Dear John,
you can startup SilverFast, set ICE to the desired mode, then save this setting with a good name like "ICE on, 4000 dpi".
Then you can enter the options and set this setting as your default setting.

As for the prescanning issue: The prescans are not cached as most people work in a linear way and do not normally return to an image.
Maybe a caching has to be introduced in a future version.
