Frame selection on Nikon LS-40 and SA-21

First I want to mention that I have read all postings concerning Batch Scanning as well as Ian Lyons' tutorial.
<p>My equipment: SF Ai 5.5.0r14, Nikon LS-40 on Win XP (I believe that XP has no influence on that topic).
<p>When inserting a film stripe and opening the stripe preview, the stripe is scanned ABSOLUTELY unadjusted. Most of the frames in the overview show half of one and half of another pic of the stripe.
<p>SilverFast's frame adjustment (the icon with a filmstripe and one arrow upwards and one downwards) is not much help either. It does not really adjust the frames well. By the way: this function is not documented well.
<p>In comparison Nikon Scan 3.1 does a very well job on film stripes. They are adjusted most of the time and the adjusting function woks well.
<p>I think that the stripe preview of Nikon Scan should be the way to go. I find it much more convenient and time saving.

Your right, Nikonscans way of handling the SA-21 is much much better then Silverfast, this has been a problem from the beginning and is not yet solved.
I don't think the preview is the case its the trouble Silverfast has in recognising the borders between the Negatives (or Positives, but the problem here is much less here)and the incapability to adjust it!

Yes xander, this is the way it seems to me. Hopefully this will be solved soon, since I have LOADS of film stripes to do and it's quite bothering to change to Nikon Scan all the time.
