Frame Offset problem with Nikon 4000 ED

Postby Caleb Clapp » Mon Apr 14, 2003 8:22 pm

Batch scanning negatives on a 4000 ED with either SF AI or NokonScan, some of the frames do not fall between the edges of the film (i.e. overlap onto the adjacent frame on one side and cut short on the other). Oddly, this seems sporadic and irregular. For instance on a 4 frame strip, frame 1,2,4 were fine, but frame 2 was offset. I know of at least one experienced user having the same problem. Do others have this problem? Has Nikon responded? What is the prognosis?

Here is a link talking about this (and other SF questions):

Thanks
