Film strip offset control

Postby Lythophaga » Wed Mar 10, 2010 4:11 pm

A quick question regarding the film strip offset control on SilverFast Ai Studio. Is there a way to manually adjust this setting? Try as I might I am finding it almost impossible to get the frames to centre - if the cut off appears on the left then using the offset control merely switches to cutting off the right side and vice versa. I am using a Nikon 5000 film scanner and SilverFast version 6.6.1r6 on Mac Leopard 10.5.8. Thanks for your help.

I do not quite get your question. I believe the strip offset control is a manual adjustmet.

Further manual adjustments for this tool are not possible

Well, you might not want to mark exactly the border of the image but a little bit less so the film stripe is not chopping the other end of the picture.

Thanks for the prompt reply - a ghost in the machine I think; I reset the Preference Files and everything is now working as it should.
