Digital Ice work w/ Silverfast?

I searched the archives, the Silverfast website and the Silverfast documentation and cannot find the answer. Does Silverfast allow the use of Digital Ice on the Nikon scanners? I have an LS-4000 and downloaded the demo version of Silverfast. I'm trying it out and it seems pretty good but I cannot find how to set or use the Digital Ice capabilities within the Silverfast dialogs, option and menus. Can it be done? If so, how?

I am using Silverfast 5.5Ai with my Nikon 8000 and that has Digital ICE and I think the 4000 does as well.

Thank you Simon, I know the 4000 has digital ice, but HOW do you implement it within Silverfast?

The digital ICE button is on the left edge of the Image window, its the one with a blue background and has a Red Cross.

As i understand it, Silverfast does not have the ability to use 'ICE' because Silverfast does not have a liscense for it from ASF. Silferfast is reportedly working on a similar function to be implemented in the near future. There is no way to turn on ICE. The best you could hope to do if you want to use it is scan with NikonScan with the CMS off, gamma=1, and output a psuedo raw 48 bit file using only dust elimination and perhaps some grain elimination. No ROC ! Then it may be possible to work with the file in HDR ( i have not tested this myself) Maybe someone else can comment ?

Thanks Simon, I found it. It's called the CleanImage button and actually tells you that is uses Digital Ice. So it does have it after all. Though no control over the intensity, nor do we get ROC or GEM. That said however, the scans looked very clean when scans with CleanImage ON and seemed to do a good job with a heavily dusty slide I tested it on. Unfortunately when tested side by side with both the Nikon Scan software and v**s**n, Silverfast was not better enough to justify it's cost. In fact the only difference I could see was slight color casts. But v**s**n gave the best color by far but a little too saturated in skin tones, Nikon Scan was a little too magenta and Silverfast too yellow/green.
