I am using SilverFast Ai Studio 6.6.1r2a for the Nikon Coolscan 5000ED under Snow Leopard and I can't seem to find any way to get the palette with the controls for filmstrips to come up when using the SA21 filmstrip adapter. The only thing I am now able to do is insert the strip of negatives and view the first frame or eject it via the eject slide button on the main toolbar. I've tried inserting the filmstrip holder before and after launching SF, turning it on with and without a strip of negatives in the holder and no joy no matter what I do.
It has been about a year since I scanned filmstrips as opposed to individual slides, but my recollection is that a palette with controls for this function appeared on their own without the user having to do anything. Fast forward a year: Same computer, an 8 core 2.8 GHz Mac Pro, what has changed is I am using Snow Leopard and I just updated my version of SilverFast before starting this project. What is the proper sequence for using the SA21 with SF? Any clues as to what is going on would be appreciated.

Dear Jim,
I believe your memories are not correct. There is a palette (dialogue) to overview the entire filmstripe, but it does not appears on its own. You have to press a button to open and work with it.
The button is located at the left side of the preview window (see next screenshot).
After pressing that button you will see the "overview window", using the "Play" button you get to see an overview of the entire film strip (see next screenshot)
Cheers

Thank you so much. I would have sworn I tried that button in the process of trying to get that palette to come up, but obviously I didn't. I am good to go now thanks to you.
