AI Studio 6.5.5.r3 and Mac G5 Quad 10.4.11

Postby zappi » Tue Jan 08, 2008 12:50 am

Hi,

sometimes i start AI Studio, it tells me that SF can not find my scanner, i use a Nikon SF5000ED. Scanner is ready, connected and initialized.

On the next try, SF is finding my Scanner without problems and sometimes it finds my scanner on the first attempt.

Same Situation with my Epson GT-30000 Flatbed, using SCSI.

If i use my Apple G4 instead of the G5, i have the same situation and if i use an older SF, i have it too.

Any Help/Bugfix?

Greetings, Thomas

Dear zappi,

this sounds a bit odd !

Are you 100% sure that you always switch on the scanner(s) and let it finish with initializing before you turn on the Mac ?!

If yes i can only guess that it is an instability with your SCSI connection (did you try an active Termnator?) ...

Greetings,
