I use Silverfast 5.5 for Nikon LS4000.
What is the difference, if any, between "48-bit colour" and "48-bit HDR color" choices in "Scan Type" combo box?

48-bit HDR colour produces raw images. The images contain exactly what the scanner "sees", no adjustment is made.
48-bit colour adds adjustments (gamma, histogram, color correction, unsharp masking...) to the raw image. The output is still 48-bit, but corrected.
