Support for Linoscan 1200 on MacOSX?

Hi,

I wonder if support for Heidelberg Linoscan 1200 (USB) on MacOSX is planned for the future. When I emailed Lasersoft june 2002 I got the impression that support for Linotype would be across the line of all their scanners. But now it seems that my type of scanner will not be supported. I run MacOSX without OS9 (classic) on purpose.

I need to know this, because if support is not forthcoming - no hart feelings in that case - I will sell my scanner and buy another one. The longer I wait, the worse the price I get for it will be.

Support for Linoscan 1200 for OS-X

We are working on this scanner which is tough because of the USB communication problem has got to be fixed under OS-X. Some kind of chip-timing related. We will find a way to fix that - only takes more time!

Thank you very much for your fast and attentfull reply. I'm not techinal, but I know that MacOSX has some quircks. And Heidelberg itself has quit its scanners and support, so I really appreciate your committment.

I have patience, and will be waiting.
