Support for Epson 3170

I just purchased a new Epson 3170 scanner and consider it an outstanding value but the included software leaves much to be desired.

There is a lot of talk about this scanner on the photography forums and I'm sure it is going to be very popular.

I hope LaserSoft will offer Silverfast scanner software for this new Epson model.

I am happy to hear that LaserSOft will be supporting the Epson 3170. Any idea how long it will be until a SilverFast version is released that supports the 3170? I am eager to buy both the scanner and the SilverFast software, but I'm holding off until both are available. Better yet, Epson should offer a 3170 version with a SilverFast bundle.

I just bought my perfection 3170 and no other scanning softwares compatible with 3170 except it's own driver. We're looking forward to see new version with support for 3170...

though at the moment there is no version of SilverFast available which supports the Epson 3170 scanner, we are quite confident that next year might see such one.

Be aware that unforeseen issues during development or testing phase can always lead to a decision of abandoning any given project.
However, one can expect to see a SilverFast support for the Epson 3170 implemented in the second quarter of 2004.

Please note that the SilverFast versions for the Epson 3200 won't work with the 3170 model.
