Suggestion for Silverfast AI 6 on Canon FS4000US:

I have collected some information in this forum.
I hope that they will solve it quickly.

1. IR dust clean(FARE) not supported.
2. The uncorrected images have terrible color balance (compared to v**s**n and FilmGet).
3. the whole scanning process being very slowly in comparison to canon?s Filmget
4. it's unclear whether the scanner is being calibrated. FilmGet takes a few seconds for "Calibration" whenever the scanner is used for the first time. It's not clear that this is happening with SF.
5. the software seems to depict the scanned image mirror reverse by default

I agree with efalcon.

I have been trying to create a 'good' profile for the scanner, but it is still eluding me. Sometimes DSR does a better job than FARE. But very often, it does not.

I have also been trying to find a 'white' balance control, but I did not. Any suggestion?
