Hi!
I have noticed that you have made Silverfast for MacOSX -, so when are you going to make it for Linux - I believe it should fairly simple to implement on linux when it is already done for MacOSX?

I think that many people get confused that since MacOSX lives onto of Darwin (BSD unix) that it is now a simple case to port MacOS Applications to Unix.
This is not the case since it would also require porting Carbon Library (Macos 9 style calls), Cocoa Library (NeXTstep style calls) and the Quartz display system. Most unix boxen use X11 not Quartz.
It had been stated that Silverfast was based very much on the Carbon library.
When developers start using Cocoa for their application development there may be more possibility to port these to other Unix with GNUStep.
Though hardware access is completely different.
