Selection Tools

I may have mentioned it previously, but just to be sure, it would be nice to have the ability to make irregular shaped selections. Elliptical selections or free hand selections are two that come to mind.

Example:
I have a picture of the moon and I don't want to scan anything else, just the moon. This way I would be able to optimize the tonality of the moon without including any superfluous image information.
