When using the strip film adapter (Nikon LS2000) an active SF IT-8 calibration is switched off assuming scanning of a negative film.
For me this is a SF bug (type: supposed benefit) which had to be fixed asap.
Why shouldn't I be able to scan positive film strips with this adapter. Of course I want to do this with IT-8 calibration. Switching off the IT-8 calibration should be done by the filmtype (positive/negative) or anything else. I understand that IT-8 calibration is restricted to slides but don't understand that it is restricted to the application of a slide mount adapter.
With me mounting of slides is only done when needed for a slide show (rather exceptional!) Archiving of a complete film in one place for me is much more elementary than storing mounted slides and the rest of the roll separate.

Best regards
Jochen

You are right. Film strips should not automatically be recognized as a negative in SilverFast. This is a bug and will be corrected ASAP.
