Scanning negatives as positives

Postby DannyBloe » Sun Jan 12, 2003 3:13 pm

I am using the Epson 2450 and I noticed that when scanning b/w negatives, the grain is better (read: less) when I scan it as a positive and invert it in Photoshop afterwards. I don't know why this is and I read about other users elsewhere who came to the same conclusion. Anyway, I wish for a feature that can invert the image just for the sake of the preview (it should scan it as a positive of course). I know you can invert the curve manually but this is very tedious and the Auto-adjust setting doesn't work then.
