When entering a filename for a scan in Ai Studio (OS X), the filename length is limited to 31 characters. Could this be extended please as sometimes it is not enough with the naming convention I use. I have to re-title the saved file in Finder after the scan is done. Personally I would only need another 5/6 characters, but why not make it much longer? Within the limitations of the filesystem, of course.
Also, please widen the filename box in the Save dialog to accommodate full visibility of longer filenames.
Thanks.
Save filename lenght >31 chars.

Re: Save filename lenght >31 chars.
Dear Customer,
in the current version of SilverFast we will not change the maximum filename lenght.
The Save Dialog used here is a standard one provided by OSX itself so there we could not do much about.

Re: Save filename lenght >31 chars.
I hate to disagree, but try this. Open the standard OS X TextEdit.app. Open the Save As panel, and enter characters into the filename box. You will see you can enter much more than 31 characters. In fact, I don't know how many, I gave up after a few hundred.
It's possible "31" is a default value used for the Save Panel, or perhaps it was just an arbitrary value chosen by the developer at the time? In any case, this proves it is possible to enter more than 31 characters as the filename.
Given this, I hope you will reconsider lengthening the limit please.

Dear Customer,
I think that there was a misunderstanding I was referring to the save dialog is the OS X default one because you said:
Apart of the filename length limitation the behaviour of the save dialog is the same in TextEdit as in SilverFast.
And the filename limitation will not be changed in the current version of SilverFast.
