Odd TIFF format
Most PC-based applications can read your output TIFF images fine. However, there are a few that cannot - notably some of those supplied by Nikon. Admittedly, this is on them and not on you, since a developer that claims to support TIFF should support all TIFF variations. I suspect that the issue is that you appear to write the TIFF images in big-endian format. This is an odd choice for a PC platform in the first place, requiring unnecessary processing to get the bits back in the platform-native order. Please consider an option to output little-endian TIFF images.

Re: Odd TIFF format
Dear user,
Thank you for your feedback. Please note that Tiff compliant software must support both MM and II Tiff images. If they do not please contact the manufacturer of that software.
Kind regards,
Arne
