Manual focus dialogue improvements

Postby crispi » Tue Mar 01, 2005 1:53 am

Hello!

FEATURE REQUESTS for SilverFastAi 6 regarding the manual focusing dialogue

[The autofocus doesn't work correctly with my Reflecta RPS 3600-the pictures are rather blurry, so I always have to rely on the manual focusing feature. However, in the manual focusing dialogue, the Auto-button works well. Here are some suggestions for future versions that would ease the work with manual focusing]

1. If the pre-set focusing distance is set at e.g. 1.7mm and the autofocus result (by pressing the Auto-button) is the same, a second scan is nevertheless performed by the software. This is only time-consuming, since the results are the same. Perhaps it would be better in this case for the software to abort performing another focus-scan.

2. When performing manual focusing using the Manual-button it would be good to have the possibility to switch the "after"-image to the "before"-column, so a new focus-scan can be made having the last manual focus-scan as a reference.

3. It would be great if the manual-focusing dialogue would "remember" the last "before"-focus-scan. Thus no new before-scan is needed when re-opening the window.

Thank you.

Dear Cristian

I am not 100% convinced that the Reflecta might be the source of the problem with a blurry auto-focussing.

As it potential can be a bug in the SilverFast software, please contact support staff via the problem report form to let us examine this problem closely.
Thanks in advance :)

Kind regards
