Importing & Exporting Custom Profiles. Mac and PC

In trying to migrate my custom profiles from a pc to a mac, i have found out it is not possible!
I called tech support and they confirmed this.
I copied the prefs files, even changed the name to match what the mac version makes. Doesn't work.
Also, there is no way to export a generated profile, even to view the numerical properties of the created curves.

This is a big problem for me. Someone should come up with a workaround.

Workaround: remember your custom profile settings and set them anew under Macintosh.

that is not a work-around for exacting corrections for film type, exposure and processing.
it doesn't even come close to an answer!
